We jetted into Tenerife to our first Wimbledon Dinner in the sun. On board were Pam, Trevor and Gavin Hedge, Tanya and Lucy, and our housemates for two weeks Denise and Lawrie Etheridge.
On settling into our apartments we were joined by Pam and Trevor’s daughter Tracey, husband Chris and son Kenzie who had flown out earlier. Janet, Dingle and Simon Brown who flew out the day before wined and dined us until the early hours, we staggered to our places of abode luckily all on the same complex and awoke Saturday to torrential rain until 16.00hrs. Welcome to sunny Tenerife.
Saturday night we headed off to The Slow Boat Restaurant where we met with our hosts for the evening Sue and Darrell Mason, also attending were Jean and Ernie Baker, AnneMarie and Sverre Harrfeldt, Brian Loach, Janet and Jack Geran, Joan and Edgar Stangeland, Gloria and Reg Luckhurst, Kay and Paul Woods, the Hedges, Browns Etheridges and the Stones.
A super get together and meet with many we had not seen for some time, excellent meal, good friends, good wine what more can one ask? We danced until the wee small hours and then wended our weary way back to our beds.
We were all invited to a barbecue at The Mason Residence again hosted by Sue and Darell, what an enjoyable time we had, so many stories to relate of years gone by with Janet and Jack Geran in particularly fine fettle indeed.
A very special day dawned on Monday....Gavin Hedge’s 40th Birthday and Pam and Trevor hosted a wonderful party for him, another enjoyable occasion especially for Gavin with the arrival of his kissogram....Lipstick everywhere!!!!
Our thanks go to all you lovely friends who made our holiday, two weeks of such fun and laughter which we shall treasure always.
Special thanks to our housemates Denis and Lawrie, we could not have done it without you and many thank to those you hosted such memorable events whilst we were visiting.
